Yusuke was born and raised in Osaka, Japan. Though the capital of Japanese cuisine, Osaka is not known for its snow. Luckily his mother was friends with a couple who ran a ski chalet and she sent him to the slopes for a number of winters. Years later he left Japan, travelling around the world and spending several seasons in Europe, Canada, Japan and New Zealand. Recently, Yusuke became the first Japanese selected to be a member of the New Zealand Interski Team. These days Yusuke splits his year between Hokkaido Japan and Wanaka New Zealand working as an instructor and instructor trainer.
